Matebeleland Zanu PF strongmen SK Moyo who is also Chairman and Mines Minister are already mobilising support to fill the VP post left vacant by VP J Landa Nkomo who died today.

VP Nkomo early today after a long battle with a cancer related illness.Higher sources from the Matebeleland region say that Mpofu will obviously pull a major surprise as provincial elections are going to take place.THE KING OF MATEBELELAND as Mpofu is known in political circles has been distrubuting food stufffs in the Matebeleland and recently said he help Bulayayo soccer club IBosso and will also pay Peter Ndlovu's hospital bills.Observers say this is a clear indication that Mpofu was positioning himself for the VP post.

The biggest question is now if ZAPU stewards in ZANU PF will ever allow MPofu who left ZAPU before the unity ACCORD OF 1987 was signed will take over the reigns ahead of seniors like sk MOYO and NAISON
ZAPU ZANU
