Politician pulls a gun on his opponent in live TV debate | international
Description: A live TV debate almost became a dead one... when a politician pulled a pistol on his opponent.
The show, aired on Jordanian satellite channel Gosat, became heated when MP Mohammad Shawabka accused former deputy Mansur Murad of working as a spy for the Syrian regime.
It led to an exchange of insults and counter accusations before Shawabka stood up and hurled his shoe at Murad.
In an extraordinary turn of events, he then pulled a pistol from his jacket and threatened his opposite number on the show.
Fortunately, show host Mohammed Hasbashneh stepped in and managed to briefly separate the two.
Unsurprisingly however, the debate was abruptly stopped and taken off air by the broadcaster as the scuffle continued.
