Description: In 2011 over 2000 women marched in the city of Johannesburg, most in mini skirts, to protest the violent abuse of two young girls at the hands of taxi drivers and male commuters. These girls had their skirts ripped and a large crowd of men taunted them, calling them sluts and saying they will be raped for wearing mini skirts. The ANC Women's League took action and organized this protest which marched past the taxi ranks and onto the Supreme Court were the minister of Justice promised that men who continued to accost women would face sentences of up to 25 years.
