Caps United appoint Englishman as new coach

Caps United appoint Englishman Mark Harrison as new coach with former player, Fungai 'Toastao' Kwashi, coming in as assistant coach in a technical team that also has club legend Brenna Msiska as goalkeepers' coach.

Harrison takes over from former coach Taurai Mangwiro and is expected to lead the team into securing the premiership title.

Harrison's credetials include being a goalkeeper for English premiership side, Stoke City, and coaching Golden Arrows and Black Leopards in the South African premiership.  

Caps United spokesperson Joyce Kapota told VOA Studio 7, reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye she hopes fans will give the new coach a chance to help the team clinch the premiership title.

"We are appealing to our fans to support our new coach and his assistants as the former coach Taurai Mangwiro was often tormented by wherever the team did not perform well, we are calling on our fans not to repeat this kind of behaviour as the newly appointed coaching department has three years to yeild results," said Kapota.

Mangwiro the former Caps United coach has joined now joined Harare City after placing his former team on third place on the Castle Larger Premier Log trailing Highlanders and title holders Dynamos.
