In June rankings, the Warriors had dropped 2 places to 106 after a string of none inspiring results.
Zimbabwe Warrior's move comes after the Warriors drew with Mozambique and managed to beat Burundi to qualify for the next stage of Afcon. The Zimbabwe Warriors qualified for the AFCON 2013 last round thanks to Knowledge Musona who slotted home a Khama Billiat cross midway into the first half.
Zimbabwe's highest FIFA ranking was position 40 in April 1995 during the Dream Team era, its lowest ranking is position 131 which was reached in October 2009. The best climb on the rankings was recorded 10 June when the Warriors climbed 39 places to position 89 and the worst decline was in February 2007 when the Warriors dropped 22 positions.
European champions Spain remain number one, while beaten finalists Italy - who knocked England out on penalties - go up six places to sixth.
The 2014 World Cup hosts Brazil drop out of the top 10 for the first time, falling five spots to 11th.
Ivory Coast remain the top-ranked African side and sit 16th in the world, followed by Ghana (33rd), Algeria (35th), Libya (39th) and Mali (40th). African champions Zambia are in sixth (41st).
