PLYMOUTH Argyle leftback Onismor Bhasera believes the Warriors need to work very hard to win their opening 2014 World Cup qualifier against Guinea at the National Sports stadium on Sunday. Bhasera, who last featured for the Warriors in the 2-1 loss in Burundi in a Nations Cup qualifier, said there was need for them to work as a unit and put extra effort.

"It's a crucial match and we need to win that game at all costs," said Bhasera.

"The response from the players is good and the preparations are going on well with almost everyone called for the duty available.

"There is a large pool of players in the team and there is a lot of competition which is motivating us to work hard as the guys are fighting for places.

"We need to work together as a team and start our campaign on a positive note so that we can ease pressure on ourselves.

"The good thing is we are playing at home and there is need for fans to come in their numbers."

Bhasera acknowledged that Guinea were a competitive team as they have some very good players who ply their trade in European leagues.

"We need to take Guinea seriously because they have good players in their side who play in good leagues around Europe," said Bhasera.

"We have played them before and we know what they capable of doing."

The Warriors reported for camp last Thursday and got down to serious business immediately.

While Guinea played Cameroon in an international friendly match over the weekend, the Warriors were not involved in any high-profile international friendly.

Rahman Gumbo's troops however managed to get a run when they featured in the testimonial match for their former captain Benjani Mwaruwari.

The senior team beat Friends of Benjani 7-4 in an exhibition match.

Gumbo also took time to assess players like newboy Bradley Pritchard of Charlton Athletic. The Warriors have a busy three-week period in which they play Guinea at home and travel to Mozambique on June 10 for a World Cup qualifier before hosting Burundi in a 2013 African Cup of Nations first round, second leg qualifier.
