He is the only Zimbabwean athlete participating at the on-going World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain.
Bhebhe told Bulawayo24 after his race at 2pm that a slight knock reduced his speed.
"I couldn't lift my leg as I got a hamstring during practice…I hope I would recover for Wednesday 200m qualifying heats".
Bhebhe clocked 10.84 sec, which is way outside his personal best.
He competed in eight heat at 13.17pm which was won by a Jamaican.
His local coach, Phakamile Lisimati wrote on his Facebook page saying Bhebhe would probably race on Wednesday.
On his name missing on the official list, Bhebhe said he experienced minor problems in registering as he was told it was an error.
