Open letter to Dynamos President

11 Apr 2016 at 07:35hrs | Views
I would like to thank you for employing a foreign coach with the view of taking our club Global.
I have been a loyal De Mbare since I started knowing football just after Zimbabwe's independence in 1980.

I grew up knowing that my two brothers supported Caps Utd and Highlanders FC but i have always proved them wrong on some occassions as Glamour Boys would be victorious in the rivalry.

I have lived in the UK for the past 15 years but still followed my beloved Dynamos FC.

The tradition of yester year of relying of ex players to coach and manage the club has been hit and miss over the years as they were tried, tested and failed.

From Sunday Chidzambwa to Tonderai Ndiraya there is only one coach who managed to maintain the brand as a football champion. Callisto Pasuwa stabilised Dynamos for a while but he got to a stage he needed to move on.

The current situation within your Technical department is not healthy both for staff, players and supporters.

We seem to have masked the infected wound created by both Silva and Muzadzi. That relationship is of love and hate which resemble our rivalry with Caps and Bosso.

Now that i have mentioned Bosso, they had their own problems which also threatened the to derail Arkbay's season at Highlanders. Mr Gumede was clever to appoint Cosmas "Tsano" Zulu as Technical Director while notorius Amin Soma-Phiri retained his position as assistant coach.

I guess this needs to be done either bringing in someone more professional and organised or elevated Lloyd Mutasa to the Technical role position so that he will be able to challenge Gift"Umbro"Muzadzi who the supporters have called for his exit already.

I understand Silva has made mistakes, but he is only human and his mistakes are reasonable bearing in mind culture clashes and challenging of Zimbabwean players motivation and attitude to wearing of De Mbare shirt. Its unfortunate i could not wear the shirt which i yearned to wear as a teenager growing in Chitungwiza but could only dream.

The subject of leadership is very complex and requires you as an overall leader to crack the whip and draw the lines between each individual with clear defined roles within the club.

Silva must be told who works under his leadership, from his assistants to players without any of you guys interfering unless there is conflict.

As humans, we are diverse and not immune to selfishness and greed, so this needs to be monitored by you using Club Supervision policy where your door is always open to your junior leaders to give you feedback on the progress on the ground.

You will be only expected to meet in private only with your leaders not players and assistants. These can be met in meetings or when you are investigating an incident that could have happened at training.

We want our club to be organised and not only react to media reports but be proactive to prevent all this from happening. From what i heard from some of the supporters Dynamos players are playing great football only that we do not have good strikers.

I would also want to remind you that De Mbare is a big brand which needs a Website, Tv channel, Magazine both print and online, Facebook page and a dedicated media personnel who will report and manage the website and Public relations. Currently Gwesela runs ZIFA's website in a professional way and i think this is urgent. We have to be visible online and also selling.

We have also seem Dynamos loosing money over the years by bogus regalia touts selling and profiting from Dynamos brand. From key holders, Toys, Balls, Football Equipment, Mugs, Books, Rulers, T shirts, track suits, shirts, trousers, flags, bed linen, curtains, trainers, football boots, cutlery and anything that our Dynamos badge could be printed on.

This will generate millions of dollars for the club.
I do not condemn De Mbare Dot Com page but at times their unsensored reporting can be damaging to the Dynamos brand.

If they are not publishing for the club then va Shagare must change the name as at times its not for the interest of the club Dynamos. I do understand that Dynamos as a brand needs to be protected.

In diaspora you have lots of supporters who can pay £20 each as part of the long term investment to sustain the club with a bank account publicly shared as part of transparency as a community club.

I will be forever be a Dynamos supporter but my loyalty has been let down due to those issues i raised the President. We want our club to grow and produce more talent for the Warriors.
