Joice Mujuru not dependable

01 Apr 2015 at 15:26hrs | Views
I was really shocked when I  read an article from the press which claimed that the former Vice President; Joice Mujuru, doctored her late husband, General Solomon Mujuru's will, in an effort to benefit more from it and prevent other beneficiaries from getting the exact share they are supposed to get.

Without any doubt, this report of the altered will revealed the real character of the axed Vice President. In simpler terms, Mujuru's personality can be described as dishonesty and greedy. If Mujuru was not greedy, she could not have altered her husband's will. It is known that the late Mujuru had many children who were supposed to get 70 percent of their fathers' estate. Some reports claim that the late General had 90 children, whom all were supposed to benefit from his assets.

However, due to greediness, Mujuru could not wait for the will to be properly executed. What Mujuru did was indeed illegal. Cheating other beneficiaries from getting inheritance, especially if the deceased left a written document that clearly states who should get what in that will is totally unacceptable.

General Mujuru passed away in 2011, which is four years ago. What surprise most people is that Mujuru has been keeping the will for such a long period, without forwarding it relevant authorities. According to the law, the axed VP was supposed to have given the will to the courts within 14days after her husband's death. Nevertheless, because of her greediness and dishonesty, Mujuru decided to withhold and temper with the will.

In addition, Mujuru's level of greediness made her to become un-motherly. It was reported that after General Mujuru's death, the ex-Vice President evicted one of the General's son, Tendai, who was staying with her since he was three years old. This again depicts that Joice Mujuru did not want to share anything with anyone from her late husband's estate. Mujuru thought that by continuing to stay with Tendai, he would challenge her and claim a larger share from his fathers' estate.

Recently, Mujuru was quoted in the press saying that she grew up in a church family; hence, her hands were clean. In other words Mujuru was declaring that she was never involved in any corrupt activities.

"…I was born into the Apostolic faith and once at school, became a member of the Salvation Army. I am a committed Christian and was the leader of Apostolic Churches as patron, and I have been committed to Christian life and values, all of my life", said Mujuru. It then boggles the mind again when someone claims that she is a true Christian evicts her husband's son from his fathers' property and amend her husband's will so that she could singularly benefit from it.

Also, such negative acts by Joice Mujuru enlighten other corrupt allegations against her. If she managed to corruptly alter General Mujuru's will how can she fail to corruptly own 10% equities in many companies including diamond mines? Joice Mujuru is so gluttonous to an extend that allegations that she and her cabal were planning to unconstitutionally oust President Mugabe from his office may not be denied.
