The girl is now three months pregnant.
Leonard Mudenda was on Thursday remanded in custody to 26 July by Binga magistrate Stephen Ndlovu. His case has been transferred to the Hwange regional court for trial.
Allegations are that on 1 May, Mudenda went to the girl's homestead at Junamina area and upon departure asked the minor to take him half way.
However, when they reached a secluded place, Mudenda allegedly tripped the girl before raping her once. He then threatened the girl with violence if she reported the incident.
Mudenda was arrested after the minor's parents discovered that she was pregnant. Upon questioning, she told them of the incident leading to Mudenda's arrest.
