NGOs work day and night to oust Mugabe: Munangagwa

DEFENSE Minister Emerson Munangagwa has said that the United States of America, Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand are funding Non Government al Organisations that are working day and night to remove President Robert Gabriel Mugabe and Zanu PF from power.

The fiery minister made the stunning remarks in a report he tabled before the Zanu PF Central Committee during the just ended Annual National People's Conference held in Bulawayo.

In the said report on National Security on page 60 Chapter 6 under a Sub Heading: Political Situation – he wrote: "About 2500 Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) are operating in Zimbabwe. Some of these NGOs are working day and night to remove President R.G Mugabe and Zanu PF from power.

"They are being funded by Britain and some E.U (European Union) countries, the USA (United States of America), Australia, Canada and New Zealand," he wrote.

Munagangwa who is one of the most feared Zanu PF politburo members because of his involvement in the 1980s Gukurahundi ethnic cleansing killings that claimed more than 20 000 lives added that the NGOs are working hand in glove with some pirate radio stations.

"In addition, pirate radio stations such as Short Wave Radio Africa (SWRA), Studio 7 and Voice of the People (VOP) continue to illegally beam hostile and false propaganda against Zanu PF and President R.G Mugabe," wrote Ngwena as he is fiery called in political circles.

The Defence minister, also urged Zanu PF to "re-invigorate itself "by carrying out "restructuring and mobilisation" exercises in order to engender organisational efficiency, relevancy and vibrancy.
