The book titled 'The Rebel In Me' by Agrippah Mutambara is his latest memoir of an edition where he investigates and looks in retrospect at the true story of his life as a young commander in the trove of liberation war history.

A ZANLA guerilla commander in the Second Chimurenga War, Mutambara talks about his personal experiences and his millitary operations between 1975 and 1980 capturing the soul of revolution.
It is a chronology of rebellion.

Mutambara, currently Zimbabwe's ambassador to Mozambique and Swaziland, underlines a sound ideology and effective warfare which won the liberation struggle.

The book, which gives insights into the atrocities of the Ian Smith regime, is a follow-up to "The Chimoio Attack", his first book which has been condensed into a chapter in the latest offering.

In his book, Mutambara invites the reader to review the Rhodesian war as he outlines the psyche of those who engage in revolutionary armed struggle and why, even when exposed to extreme hardships and continual assault by a superior military adversary, remain committed to their cause.
