Raunchy dancer Beverly (Bevy) Sibanda, has severed ties with Prophet Magaya and on Saturday staged a show at Zindoga Shopping Centre's Manucho Club - a stone's  throw from Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Church in Harare's Waterfalls suburb.

As she joined a new rhumba group, Royal Court, playing a popular tune Sinamakosa on stage, Prophet Magaya was said to be conducting a service at his PHD Church across the road.

Bevy later left the place to attend a Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (DAZ) gig at Londoners Night Club the same night as other members of the profession welcomed her back on stage after a break when she engaged with PHD.

Bevy is among a few beneficiaries of PHD founder Prophet Magaya's benevolence as he opened a clothing shop for the dancer in the city centre.

However, Bevy said, "I am tired of the Magaya publicity thing whilst I am creating more enemies from the church on a daily basis. Magaya is not even giving me enough food and I spend hours in queues waiting for my allowances at his place and the money that he is giving me for ordering stock from Tanzania is not enough. At times I fail to pay duty on my way back.

"I am failing to record even $30 sales per day whilst my shop rentals are plus $1,000 per month. It's better I move the shop to Gulf Complex and start my dancing career and if they chase me away from their PHD, then I will start my own church at home. Ko chii chinonetsa kutanga kereke. Tatiriko uku. We now know it in and out.

"I told Magaya when he was complaining why the media was flocking to him that it was because of me Bevy not him. I told him once I leave the Church, they were not going to follow him again," she said.

"I was now tired of sleeping alone. Other band members were no longer socializing with me. I was alone. Magaya should have assigned me a dancing role in the church," she added.

Bevy was welcomed by many artistes such as former Big Brother the Chase participant, Rokie, musician Amara Brown and many dance group members.

"We were useless as dancers without you because the benchmark had gone. So welcome back elder sister Bevy," said a popular dancer known as Gudo in the fraternity.

Paddington Japajapa, who is the chairperson of DAZ said, "Welcome back our dancer Bevy, we hope you are going to bless our entire dancing fraternity through the Holy Spirit you have been given by our respected Prophet Magaya. There is nothing wrong in turning to God and then back to your job as everything that a human being does needs the Almighty's blessings. After all we are all Christians though we are the chiefs of this dancers' association, God Bless You Bevy."

Bevy already has many shows lined up including some at Transvaal Hotel in South Africa - Boksburg soon.
