A 10-year-old girl in Penhalonga was last week raped for being "a nuisance" and "making noise" by a 14-year-old teenager.

Three girls, including the victim who resides in Green Valley Farm Compound were coming from school at around 2pm and passed through Dam 5 where they met the accused.

He was fishing with an 11-year-old friend when the three juveniles started singing and shouting. The accused and his friend assaulted one of the girls before two of them ran away.

The 14-year-old boy chased and caught up with her. He dragged her into a nearby bush and raped her once. The juvenile's mother was informed and the teenager was arrested.
