Man test HIV positive after bedding a 14 year old girl

A Harare man will rue the day he laid his hands on his 14-year-old HIV positive lover after he was arrested and charged with having sexual intercourse with someone under age.

The 20-year-old man from Mufakose pleaded guilty when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Rueben Mukavhi yesterday, who remanded him in custody to Friday for sentence.

Mukavhi ordered the accused to undergo an HIV test first.

Prosecutor Lawrence Gangarawe said on August 11 this year, the two lovebirds went to Houghton Park in Harare for introductions at the accused's brother's place.

It is understood that when they left Houghton Park, they proceeded to the accused's house where he stays with his friend.

Upon arrival, the friend decided to sleep on the bed and the accused slept on a mattress on the floor with the minor.

The accused allegedly had sexual intercourse with the minor twice before releasing her the next day.

The complainant proceeded to her sister's house where she divulged what had happened, leading to the accused's arrest.
