Bulawayo City Council has hit back at Finance Minister Tendai Biti who said the local authority is failing to utilise $6.5m allocated to it for water reticulation.

Mayor Thaba Moyo said  Biti does has no clue as to what he was refereeing to and in fact the council is seeking more funds for its projects.

"I do not know where he gets that from. Recently we commissioned the revamped sewer works at Aisleby Farm .

"We are now working on Thongrove. I do not know what money he is referring to. Maybe he is repeating what he said last year".

Moyo said the correct position is, council is looking for additional $3 million for more projects.
