Addressing members of his constituency during a report-back meeting, Chamisa said they had a constitutional right to recall their leaders if they were not happy with their performance.
"President Robert Mugabe, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, Members of Parliament, Cabinet ministers and councillors are like nappies that can only be removed from positions by the people who voted for them," said Chamisa.
"It is everyone's constitutional right and choice to demonstrate against the evil government and the council."
Chamisa, who is also the Minister of Information Communication Technology, said the electorate had the right to either reject or accept the draft constitution in a referendum.
"People of Zimbabwe should take an opportunity to view the constitution draft and debate on it because it's not for the leaders or politicians only, but for the people." Turning to the contentious general elections issue, Chamisa said:
"Many parties have been wrestling to hold elections this year with some saying they should be conducted as soon as yesterday, but we have to take into consideration issues of media rights, interrogate the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and deal with political violence.
ZEC should be interrogated because we believe that most of its staff members are Zanu PF sympathisers and we should not repeat the ‘short and long sleeves' which took place in 2008.
"People should know that an election is not a boxing match. There are no John Cenas in this country."
Chamisa said the two main political parties, Zanu PF and MDC-T, should jointly participate in constituency meetings in order to ensure peaceful campaigns.
