Mangoma said Biti, the party secretary general must be cautions when dealing with Mugabe.
"We have told Biti that we must desist from political grandstanding and acting like activists and show the people what distinguishes us from Zanu PF" Mangoma said.
Mangona said the party leadership has "ceased to be political activists".
Biti has of late made public statements on Mugabe which his party views as undiplomatic.
