Ditched woman stabs boyfriend with a screwdriver

A ditched woman stabbed her boyfriend with a screwdriver after he decided to end their relationship. Tendai Tagarira (27) of Highfield was convicted on her own plea when she appeared before Mbare magistrate, Mr Arnold Maburo charged with assault. The violent woman was fined US$50 with an option of 30 days in prison.

The State had it that on 23 April, Tendai stabbed her boyfriend Farai Nyashanu (29) after he told her that their relationship was over. On the day in question at around 2am, the two were at Joy Night club in Highfield drinking beer when an altercation ensued. The State had it that Farai decided to end their one and half year relationship after a misunderstanding. He told her that he was no longer interested in her.

In ire, Tendai became violent and stabbed her lover with a screw driver on his palm. However, the fight was calmed by other revellers who were in the club before Farai made a police report leading to Tendai's arrest.
