Zimbabwe's top ranked spinner, Curtis Smith has set his sights on conquering the region in next month's South African Burnout Arena in his bid to elevate the country to the upper echelons of the sport.

Blessed with a dare devil character that has seen him dominating the local burnout arena with unrivalled supremacy, Curtis Smith continues to impress with his spinning prowess.

The country's top ranked spinner continues to set the bar and was over the weekend at his usual best at the burnout competition held at Arcadia Sports Club, where some of the finest local spinners converged to show what they're made of.

Smith says for him spinning is a way of life and reckons he has come of age hence plans to showcase his ability in a highly competitive foreign environment.

Smith said:" I want to prove to South Africans that Zimbabweans are equally as good in this sport.

"Last year their spinners rated me highly when the came here and said I have what it takes to compete against the best from South Africa.

"I want to go there with one thing in mind – to conquer."

Curtis Smith proved that he's one for the big time after coming second behind a South African spinner at the Burnout competition held at Borrowdale race course late last year.

Competing against the crème de la crème has motivated him to reach for the stars in his endeavor to leave a lasting impression on the local arena and beyond.

The South African burnout arena beckons for the 28 year old top rated spinner who has three years experience under his belt.
