The People's Democratic Party (PDP) Bulawayo province has refuted claims that about 200 of the members in Luveve and Cowdray Park have defected to rival MDC-T.

Last week there were reports that the members dumped the Tendai Biti led PDP after 'finding it difficult to be accommodated in their preferred political home".

However, Edwin Ndlovu, PDP vice-presidential spokesperson and acting Bulawayo provincial secretary for media information and publicity denied the reports.

"PDP  Bulawayo province would want to set the record straight on unfounded claims that PDP members in Luveve and Cowdray Park have joined MDCT," he told Bulawayo24.com.

"This is wishful thinking by a confused over ambitious flip flopper who overrates himself . After firstly joining a wrong faction in MDC-T and secondly getting thumbed in PDP provincial elections , the charlatan   is now trying to be accepted back in Tsvangirai's party by lying .

"The truth is no one now trusts  him and by imagining our members defecting he assumes that would make him  accepted back,"

Ndlovu said the 'charlatan' was rejected by PDP structures when he contested the provincial chairmanship hence his comical actions.

"We have checked with our structures in Luveve district and from the wards no single cadre have joined the Morgan outfit .

"No amount of lies  wishful thinking and nightmares could  make our members join MDC-T.  We are actually busy with mobilisation and structure formulation in readiness for 2018 elections and the truth is that the future of this country is orange."
