Political parties that form the fragile inclusive government have said they are ready to 30 by-elections this year even if crucial key reforms that they have been demanding.
The reform in the security sector is considered as vital.
Currently, there are 30 constituencies without members of parliament.
Last week, a Supreme court ruling ordered President Mugabe to set dates for three by election sin Bulilima East, Lupane and Nkayi South.
The by elections are key because they will act as litmus test ahead of general elections.
MDC, policy director Qhubani Moyo said his party is ready to field candidates for any by-election.
"Our position as a party is that we have always been prepared for by elections. We respect the Supreme Court ruling and we will participate" said Moyo.
MDC-T National spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora said "We are ready for any by elections without key reforms. This is a true test of the GPA parties and also for Zanu-PF regarding its sincerity to end violence". By elections
