The Mthwakazi Liberation Front (MLF) National Executive Committee met in Johannesburg on Saturday 11 February 2012 for the first time this year to map out the way forward for the liberation front.

The meeting, held in Yoeville, just metres from its Raymond Street headquarters, was opened by MLF leader and President General Nandinandi.

In his opening address to the NEC General Nandinandi emphasised the need to exhaust all peaceful means and resort to the armed solution as the last option of forcing Zimbabwe to stop colonizing Mthwakazi. He said, "It is the intelligent general who captures a city without destroying it and with minimum casualties."

Among many resolutions reached by the NEC were these:

1 - Send a powerful delegation to Zimbabwe, SADC and AU before international bodies like EU, NAM and UN are approached.
2 - Unite all organisations with Mthwakazi at heart.
3 - Support Zapu and MDC in all their endeavors.
4 - Exhaust all peaceful means before resorting to armed conflict to force the regime to free our country. ALL NEC members to attend 2nd anniversary of the organisation in December 2012 in the Mthwakazi Capital - Bulawayo.
5 - Increase the campaign for the Independence of Mthwakazi and expand all activities to include the whole world.

The NEC also took the opportunity to launch the much awaited for Brand-Mthwakazi brand. T-shirts, caps, tracksuits, golf shirts, pens, mugs, wrappers, headdress and many more items with Mthwakazi logo were shown to members and are available now for sale in selected shops in Johannesburg and very soon Bulawayo is to be awash with such clothes and regalia.

The NEC expressed its solid and unwavering support for the Mthwakazi Trio who are being incarcerated for Mthwakazi Liberation and Freedom. A special task team was put in place to work towards archieving what the NEC decide. The NEC also chose Magugu Precious Khumalo as the new National Organiser. Taking over from Sabelo Ngwenya who resigned late last year.
