A tribunal formed by Malaysia's former leader has convicted former US President, George W Bush and Britain's ex-prime minister, Tony Blair at a symbolic trial for "crimes against peace" in Iraq.
Malaysia's outspoken former leader Mahathir Mohamad founded a peace organisation that set up the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal, specifically for trying Bush and Blair.
Mahathir's son, Mukhriz Mahathir, said international judges and lawyers convicted the men on Tuesday for crimes against peace over the 2003 Iraq invasion.
It plans to hear symbolic war crimes charges against them later.
The court heard testimony from a number of victims, including Abbas Abid, who had his fingernails removed by pliers, Ali Shalal, who was electrocuted and hanged on a wall, and Jameelah Abbas Hameedi, who was stripped and beaten.
Also convicted were US Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, as well as former White House legal advisors, Alberto Gonzales, David Addington, William Haynes, Jay Bybee and John Yoo.
