Zambia bus crash, 53 dead

Fifty-three people have been killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a truck near the Zambian capital Lusaka, a government official said on Thursday.

"I can confirm that 53 people have died in the accident," Harry Kalaba, an official in the vice president's office, told AFP from the crash site 100km north of the capital.
