Boyz Dze Smoko, formerly Chazezesa Challengers, have released their 7th album titled 'Smoko Yega Yega' under the leadership of former Band Manager, Leeroy Lunga.

Since the death of founder of the band Fanuel System Tazvida in 1999, the remaining group members have managed to relive the rhythm by releasing their seventh CD album, Smoko Yega Yega, a follow up to their 6th album, 'Size Yakanaka'.

Guitarist and vocalist Leeroy Lunga better known by his stage name "Kamusena" said the album will make a huge impact to some of their fans who were starved of their music.

Lunga says they are back together as Boys dzeSmoko after they had previously traded as "Boys dzeSena" when Isaac Tazvida now based in Mozambique was still with the Smoko band.

The new album features songs that include "Handirambe", "Mwanawapano", "Ndevangu" and "Vana vangu" and "Zororai Murugare", which is a dedication to the late System Tazvida and Peter Tazvida.

LeeRoy Lunga had played with both the Super Sounds and the Kasongo band.

The group then used the name Chazezesa Challengers formed in 1993 under the direction of Fanuel 'System' Tazvida in Chitungwiza.

The original Chazezesa Challengers which was formed in 1993 by 'System Tazvida' successfully mixed elements of Sungura and traditional sounds, creating an appealing and popular blend.

The Chazezesa Challengers produced a string of hit albums in the mid-to-late 1990s; their album, Rudo Tsika Nemagariro, sold more than 20 000 copies, while Mutunhu Unemago topped 30 000.

Some of their top songs include Anodyiwa Haature, Mabhauwa, and Vaforomani. The Chazezesa Challengers were known for their humourous lyrics and satirical subjects.

The band also toured in Mozambique, where they were popular.
