Entertainment director at Jabula Power Promotions, Mduduzi Ndalula, said fans of Tuku should look forward to a great show since this is to be Tuku's first show in Bulawayo since returning from his overseas tour.
"People should look forward to an electrifying show from Zimbabwe's superstar because he would like to please local fans," he said.
Tuku will be backed up by local artistes Peter "Young Igwe" Moyo, Derrick Majaivana and the group Isizukulwana of the Bantu Nanka Amasela fame.
"For this show we decided to give our local artistes a chance to perform with a renowned figure in Zimbabwean and African music circles. Curtain raising performances will be by Isizukulwana and Majaivana before Tuku himself comes on and we will round off the evening's proceedings with Peter Moyo," said Ndalula.
He said the backing performers would be the same for both venues as will be the time arrangements for their performances.
"The performers that will back Tuku up for the Bulawayo show will be the same as those for the show in Esigodini and so will be the time arrangements for their performances," Ndalula said.
Tuku's manager Sam Mataure said they would be using this occasion to celebrate the esteemed artiste's birthday which takes place next month.
"This show will part of our celebrations of Tuku's birthday since he will be turning 60 next month and this show is the closest to his actual birthday," he said.
Mataure said people should come in their numbers as Tuku would be using the two shows to play some of the new songs from his upcoming album.
"People should come in their numbers because Tuku will be using this occasion to belt out songs from his upcoming album which he will mix with some of his popular tunes," he said.
Mataure said people in Esigodini should look forward to the show since Tuku had been anticipating his performance there because of the many requests by fans from the town.
Both shows are set to start at 8pm while there will be no advance tickets for the shows and instead an admission fee of $10 will be paid at the gate.
Ndalula said full bar and catering will be available at both venues and so people should come in their numbers to witness the event.
