BULAWAYO - Popular South African house music disc jockey, Thato Sikwane aka DJ Fresh, is set to perform at Sports 747 on June 23.
DJ Fresh became known first for his breakfast slot on radio station YFM (which he hosted for eight years) and later as the host of the Drive Time (16h00 - 19h00) on 5FM.
A spokesperson for Sports 747 said DJ Fresh would jet into the country on June 23 in the afternoon and perform in the evening.
Fresh, a presenter on 5FM in South Africa, will perform in the city for the first time this year having thrilled house music fans in August last year at Bar Labhala.
The spokesperson said Fresh has already been cleared for the performance at Sports 747.
Local disc jockeys, Mendoza, Chris, Emity Smooth and Cool J will entertain showgoers before Fresh takes over.

Currently a guest at any club venue across the country worth its salt, as well as a regular at night-clubbing institutions like Sandton's Calabash, Fresh regularly lives up to his name by dishing up the newest and spiciest beats.
South Africa has been experiencing xenophobia and DJ Fresh has only recently embarked, along with the Human Rights Commission on a "Rollback Xenophobia" poster campaign to educate youth of South Africa about the dangers of xenophobia, but the projects DJ Fresh embarks on are not just about funding students, he cares for people suffering from cancer and he condemns any form of abuse.
