Exhibitors at the 3 day Zimbabwe Market Fair have sealed business deals which are expected to boost their production capacities.

The fair, which roared into life on Friday, saw exhibitors of locally made products clinching deals that are set to boost their production capacities.

Some of the products that were being showcased include hand-made baskets, pottery products, sheep wool carpets among other varieties of locally made goods.

Organiser of the event, Mrs Busi Bango said the event has given a chance to producers of locally made goods from across the country to meet with clients.

"Women and young people from across the country are managing to clinch deals with clients who cannot access them when they go back to their communities," said Mrs Bango.

Some of the exhibitors, who spoke to ZBC News, confirmed they had clinched deals which will see them moving to higher levels of production.

Most of the exhibitors were women and young people who are part of cooperatives.
