Briton Dereck Chisora will fight Vitali Klitschko on February 18 in Munich, putting any potential bout between the Ukrainian and David Haye on hold.

Chisora, 27, has twice seen fights with Vitali's brother Wladimir called off due to the latter suffering injuries.

"Wladimir Klitschko did not fight me but now I'm going to get the championship belt by beating his older brother," Chisora said.

"I'm going to show Vitali Klitschko that his time has expired and send him into retirement.

"When his younger brother then wants a fight against me I'll be ready to bring all the championship belts to London."

Vitali Klitschko, the WBC heavyweight champion, will start a heavy favourite. Chisora lost a debated split decision to Robert Helenius earlier this month in a European title bout, but looked far sleeker in that defeat than he did in losing his British and Commonwealth titles to Tyson Fury in July.

In between he managed a routine win against Remigijus Ziausys.

Vitali Klitschko praised Chisora's showing against Helenius in Helsinki.

"Chisora showed in his last fight, which he lost unfairly, that when his opponents are much bigger he can fight well on the inside," he added.

"I will take warning from his excellent performance against Helenius and train intensely and meticulously as always. I won't let all his talking affect me, however."

Haye, who remains officially retired, wants to fight Vitali Klitschko after losing to his brother this year.
