Let me help you plan the long weekend with your friends by suggesting a little known city of Kadoma. Bet you didn't know it had city status right? This once bustling mining and farming city has so many awesome options for you this long weekend coming up but most importantly if you are working on a budget. So as the new general manager and self appointed ambassador of this city I have decided to help you out with some options of what you can do when you come to Kadoma.

Luxury coach

The luxury coaches drive past Kadoma taking people to Bulawayo and Vic Falls but you can drop off in Kadoma, the journey time from Harare is 2hrs and from Bulawayo is 4hrs which makes this the best stopover because you will be here in no time for $20 and below each way.

Where to stay

You have a number of options of places to stay but I will focus on Cotton Country Inn for obvious reasons. The rates really favour group booking as they have been calculated per room so please listen very carefully I shall say this only once. Room only is $50/night, Bed and Breakfast $60/night (for 2 people sharing), Dinner Bed and Breakfast $70/night (for 2 people sharing) rooms can be setup with TWIN BEDS or a DOUBLE bed. Please note that there is also a 6 ply room (6 beds) at a rate of $120/night (Dinner Bed and Breakfast…for 6 people). We also have the Saturday BBQ.

Claw Dam

Claw dam is one of the most incredible little known places you are going to see this year and its only 2hrs from the Capital. There is a beautiful place, amazing Dam and awesome caravan or camping site. You can spend the day bracing your own meat at the club house oh my gosh what an awesome VENUE! It's $5 per person to enter the venue.

Township Tour (Group Bookings only)

For $30 per person you can be taken around the townships of Kadoma, enjoying the sights and sounds of the bustling township of Rimuka, get some bray's meat enjoy a cold beer and finish off the day watching some local football in the famous RIMUKA STADIUM. Bookings made through Cotton Country Inn minimum 10 people in a group.

Farm Lunch (Group Bookings only)
Have a rustic farm lunch (3 courses, including wine and drink) for $50 per person, enjoy having lunch in the great outdoors prepared by celebrity chef Carl Joshua Ncube on one of the many farms in the Kadoma area. Bookings made through Cotton Country Inn minimum 10 people in a group.

Golf Day
Take a day out to play some golf at the Kadoma Golf Club. This tricky i hole golf course will definitely test the most professional golfer. The rates are very great and the bar at the club house is worthy of that first sip after a gruelling 9 holes. Fees for non members are $20 to play the course and $5 for your caddy, you can also hire a set of clubs to use in case you don't have your own. Top tip, if you don't know how to even play golf the caddies are very willing to teach you on the course, so use this weekend to start learning Golf. Golf clinics can be booked through Cotton Country Inn for minimum 4 people per group.

Tuku Cynthia Mare and Sulumani Chimbetu

Three of the bigs stars in Zimbabwean entertainment descend on the place we call ODYSSEY. What a way to start the long weekend on the Friday than a hectic almost all night concert, bring your dancing shoes. Enjoy the concert or chill in the VIP bar at ODYSSEY.
