SHOW promoters have admitted that show organising is a gamble but whatever the out-come, they have to pay artistes, security, accommodation and meet other expenses.

A scuffle has emanated between promoters and bouncers of the Tocky Vibes show which took place a fortnight ago at Amphitheatre in Bulawayo.

Bouncers are accusing promoters of not paying them.

One of the bouncers, Respect Ndlovu from the Bulawayo Bouncers Association said the promoters called them requesting for bouncers who were to work on the night.

"We were called on the day of the show and told that the show organisers wanted some bouncers for the night. Usually we charge $50 per person per night and on the day we were only two with Kennedy Mutasa. We never signed any contract because it was like an urgent thing. But after the show we never saw the show promoters as they went into hiding."

"We never signed any contract because it was like an urgent thing. But after the show we never saw the show promoters as they went into hiding. When we asked (Takalani) Ndou he referred us to one Charumbira who told us that they made a loss hence they are still trying to cululate the money. "

"Further efforts to get the money were futile as they are now dodging our calls," he said.

However, contacted for comment Ndou, a student at National University of Science and Technology, said they never hired the bouncers.

"We never hired any bouncers. We had our own security from Nust. I never called them. They are claiming that they were called? If we had called them, ask them to show you the contract which they signed. "

"They should go to the person who called them and tell them they want their money. There were two parties which were involved in this show. The other party which was helping us was headed by Charumbira. He had his part and catered for it. I don't know what they discussed with him."

"If that story is published I am going to sue them because they would have tarnished my image," he said.

Efforts to get a comment from Charumbira were fruitless as his mobile phone was not reachable.
