'I do not understand all this Gukurahundi frenzy?'

Nemane Tsholotsho 2015-01-06 07:37:50 - Forgive me bafowetu I do not understand all this Gukurahundi frenzy currently doing rounds in the media.

The horror inflicted by government on hapless Ndebeles is well known and inexcusable. To me the signing of the Unity Accord signified the start of reconciliation of the Nation.A short distance from my homestead there is a mass grave of six people who were executed by the 5th brigade.

The daughter of that family is today the chairlady of Zanu-pf.

Tell me people is this not a sign of moving forward instead of harbouring bitterness, which will only bring more misery.

The humiliation which Nkomo experienced under the ruling party was undeserved but he forgave all that and opted for reconciliation and unity.

Lithini manje bafowethu . Here is my story of utter humiliation and harassment I suffered under Zanu-pf.In the year 2000 a war veteran called Givers Ndebele ordered that my shop be closed for spurious reasons. In 2008 he hired assassins to kill me .

They shot me above the shoulder blade but I managed to survive. In 2015 on the 3rd of January he confessed that he had deliberately misinformed the MP for Tsholotsho South constituency Mr Zenzo Sibanda that my ward does not deserve support from the honourable MP.

Zanu-pf rightly called this Givers character a sell-out who should be expelled from the party. In 2001 Givers reported to the war veterans that I was distributing MDC campaign material and I was arrested by war vets for two days together with my wife and brother.

After all this harassment I am implementing ZIMASSET in my ward by building a clinic.
