Mugabe's top officials face purges

Sources have said that VP Emmerson Mnangagwa's allies are pushing for the removal of senior officials in the Office of the President and Cabinet where they say Joice Mujuru loyalists remain in powerful positions.

The sources claim that the Mnangagwa allies want deputy secretaries in the Office of the President Christian Katsande, Justin Mupamhanga, Ray Ndhlukula removed from their positions.

The Office of the President and Cabinet is headed by the chief secretary, Misheck Sibanda, who is said to be a Mnangagwa ally as he hails from the same province.
