Grade 7 exam fees condemned

THE Zimbabwe Teachers' Association (Zimta) has condemned the planned introduction Grade Seven examination fees ahead of its 34th annual congress in Kadoma.

Early this year, Government announced the introduction exam fees and pegged them at $3.

In a post seen by Bulawayo24.com Zimta  said the fees basic education for all policy.

"ZIMTA says NO, to privatization /  commercialization of basic education, done through the introduction of grade seven exam fee.

"The Introduction of grade seven exams violates the Government's Constitutional role to provide State Funded Basic Education for All".

 "Quality Education, Provision of Education as a Fundamental Human Right and the Sustainable Development Agenda, Goal Number 4: are part of the discussions that shall take place during ZIMTA's 34th Annual National Conference" Zimta said.
